BASF, the world's leading chemical company, has built its European Shared Service Center in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg area of the city of Berlin. BASF Services Europe GmbH provides services in the areas of Personnel as well as Finance and Accounting for the BASF Group companies in Europe. In the next couple of years, the number of employees has risen from formerly 180 to currently about 850.
